Maximizing Root Growth

Soil compaction, it’s the same problem for golf courses, soccer fields or your backyard. Compacted soil is literally too hard for grass roots to become established and flourish. Relieving soil compaction will grow healthier roots.

No magic potions for golf courses and sports fields. Grounds crews improve drainage and relieve compaction with aeration and calcined clay chips, a.k.a “field conditioner”. PrimeraOne® Field Conditioner added to your soil annually, will gradually improve soil texture and improve drainage in the heaviest clay.

Deep roots find more water during extended drought. Build a better growing environment for grass roots. When added after core aeration, PrimeraOne® Field Conditioner works like tiny sponges to soak up and release moisture providing a pathway for oxygen and fertilizer to grass roots. With routine core aeration and an annual application your lawn will develop maximum grass root growth.
Apply PrimeraOne® Field Conditioner during fall lawn renovation, it’s idiot proof! After core aeration lightly rake (or even sweep with a stiff broom) field conditioner chips along soil surface into aeration holes. Brush as much as possible from leaf blades making sure field conditioner fills all depressions in the soil.

Overseed your lawn at recommended rates. Top dress bare ground areas with additional PrimerOne® Field Conditioner to a depth of about ¼ inch. Fertilize using Loveland Renovator at a rate 4 lb per 1,000 sq. ft. When you’re finished, water thoroughly keeping seed consistently moist. This simple routine will build a better soil to improve vigor in all types of turf grasses.
